Proposal: Redesign / Migrate Community Forums to a PostHog Style Community Hub

As a developer using Supabase, finding structured answers, community extensions, and specific troubleshooting threads across GitHub Discussions, Discord, and random forums gets super fragmented.

I'd love to see Supabase build or integrate a dedicated Community Forum hub similar to PostHog's Community Platform something built specifically for structured dev discussions, inline code previews, and direct feature feedback.

Problem Statement

GitHub Discussions works fine for standard repo chat, but it misses a few key community features:

• Cleaner Filtering & Categories: Hard to filter deeply by specific stack parts (Auth, Edge Functions, Realtime, Storage, Local Dev) with clear solution flags or preview panels.
• Integrated Knowledge Sharing: No smooth cross-linking between community solutions, official docs, and user-submitted guides or templates.
• Clear Feedback Loops: It’s tough to tell if feature ideas are being tracked, queued, or actively worked on by the core team.

Proposed Ideas & Features

1. Dedicated Community UI: A clean, standalone interface for community Q&A, showcases, and feedback.
2. Public Feature Tracking: Visual status badges (Planned, In Progress, Shipped) so users know where requests stand.
3. In-Context Docs Integration: Easy ways to link discussions directly into official Supabase doc pages or code snippets.
4. Better Search & Indexing: Stronger search indexing to prevent duplicate questions and bring proven answers to the top.

Why This Would Help

• Makes it way easier for devs to get unstuck without needing to search multiple platforms.
• Helps the community answer each other's questions more efficiently, lowering duplicate support threads.
• Gives the Supabase team cleaner, high-signal product feedback straight from active users.
