You need to file a support ticket. |

Hey there! This is a somewhat common issue when upgrading from the Free tier after a project has been paused due to inactivity. Upgrading the organization's billing plan doesn't always automatically wake up the sleeping database. Here is how to fix it: Step 1: Manually trigger the restore Sometimes you still need to manually tell the project to wake up. Go to your Supabase Dashboard. Step 2: What to do if it's "stuck" or the button is missing If you already clicked restore and it's hanging, or if it says it's active but the database is unresponsive, your instance is likely stuck provisioning on Supabase's backend infrastructure. In this case, community members can't reboot it for you — you need to ping the Supabase team to manually unstick the VM. Go here: https://supabase.com/dashboard/support/new Using that specific support category usually gets a very fast response from their infrastructure team! (If this helps point you in the right direction, please don't forget to click Mark as Answer below so others with the same issue can find it!) |

Hi @Wallyson27, This is a common point of confusion when reactivating a paid plan: Reactivating your subscription restores billing status and removes account restrictions, but it does not automatically boot up your database. Because the compute resources were shut down while the plan was inactive, the project remains in a Paused state until you explicitly trigger a restore. Here is how to get your database back online immediately: Step 1: Manually Unpause / Restore the Project
Step 2: What to do if the button is stuck or missing
Step 3: Fast-Track with Supabase SupportBecause you have reactivated a paid plan, your account is entitled to Priority Support:
Restoration issues after subscription renewals are typically unstuck by the infrastructure team within minutes of a support request. |
Uh oh!

I have already reactivated the plan subscription, but even though it is possible to add project add-ons, the database itself has not yet been reactivated; this is blocking the functionality of my current system, which relies on that database.
