Hey folks, this is Safa, I recently started working as an SDK engineer at Supabase 👋
I'd like to announce that we are working towards making supabase-kt official!
Huge kudos to the original creator of the SDK, @jan-tennert, for all the effort he put into it so far!
With the official release, I will be maintaining the SDK as part of my role at Supabase and Jan will remain involved as a contributor.
What should you expect from this change?
We will cut a final 3.x release with all low-risk PRs and then will pause merging PRs until we release the first official version. Open PRs won't be discarded or ignored. We'll review them once the pause ends.
We will transfer the repo into Supabase GitHub organization, make a namespace change and release the very first official version as 4.x. You can expect adequate docs and guides around the migration.
All additional breaking changes, including behavioral changes and architectural changes in the API surface will be planned as part of 5.x release.
We need your feedback!
Right after we release the official version, we will be working on the 5.x release to make the SDK even better.
Please feel free to comment if you have any change requests or if you have any comments or concerns regarding the library becoming official.
