This maintenance release rebuilds standard landscape capture around a compact, preview-first control rail. Pro mode is unchanged.

• Bounds the standard landscape settings rail to 272–292dp instead of consuming all remaining width
• Organizes controls into four-column tools, lens, capture and mode rows with no vertical scrolling
• Places Slow motion, Panorama, Time-lapse and BG recording on one Others row
• Expands the preview into all space outside the rail and makes it full-screen when the rail is collapsed
• Preserves 48dp-or-larger targets, English/Japanese UI, the draggable mode bar and the single PreviewView
• Leaves Pro viewfinder, settings, profiles and shutter placement unchanged

Verified on Xperia 1 across standard Photo, Others, expanded/collapsed panels, standard/Pro transitions and orientation changes. All 30 unit tests, Android Lint and the upload-key-signed release build pass.

This maintenance release gives standard portrait capture an immersive viewfinder inspired by Sony Photography Pro's Basic screen.

• Expands the standard photo, video and slow-motion preview from the top edge to the compact control deck
• Overlays lens choices at the preview's lower edge and removes the large gap left by absent manual controls
• Keeps the selected 4:3 / 16:9 output setting while center-cropping the standard preview into the available space
• Preserves Pro mode's exact 4:3 / 16:9 frame and manual control deck
• Retains a fixed-ratio preview in Others and Panorama so mode-specific actions stay visible
• Reuses the single PreviewView, preserving the existing no-rebind safety across mode and orientation changes

Verified on Xperia 1 with repeated standard/Pro transitions, Photo/Others transitions, portrait/landscape changes and a continuously live preview. All 29 unit tests, Android Lint and the upload-key-signed release build pass.

• Places the standard preview and control deck in one layout hierarchy, removing the landscape gap and portrait offset
• Keeps a landscape-shaped 4:3 / 16:9 viewfinder in both device orientations and removes rotated-stream pillarboxing
• Standardizes primary actions on square 48dp-or-larger tiles with explicit boundaries and shape-plus-color selection
• Preserves one PreviewView through Pro/standard and orientation transitions, preventing parent collisions and frozen surfaces
• Rejects duplicate asynchronous BG starts and keeps recording through Home, screen-off and Recents removal
• Waits for CameraX Finalize before releasing the service camera, preventing damaged saves and preview-reconnect races
• Adds localized English and Japanese saving-state notifications

Verified on Xperia 1 with 12 repeated standard/Pro transitions, portrait/landscape changes, both aspect ratios, a 20-second BG regression recording, Home, a 14m16s long BG recording, Recents removal and normal-preview recovery. All 28 unit tests, Android Lint and the signed release build pass.

The preview lifecycle has been rebuilt so repeated Pro/standard and portrait/landscape transitions no longer stall or corrupt the live view. The Photography Pro-inspired workspace now includes Fcam pro's own customizable mode bar and color-coded capture profiles.

• One PreviewView and one movable host across every layout, eliminating surface reparenting and unnecessary camera rebinds
• Exact 4:3 / 16:9 fit inside available space; the preview rectangle keeps its shape while only UI placement and capture rotation change
• Photo / Video / Others by default, with drag-to-add Slow motion and Panorama, bar reordering and drag-back removal

Pro mode now follows the operating model of Photography Pro while adapting it for portrait use: preview, exposure summary and controls form one continuous camera workspace.

• A live-value deck for ISO, SS, AF, WB, EV, FMT, MIC and PRF
• A two-column landscape rail that keeps every control reachable on tall phones such as Xperia 1
• Practical ISO, shutter, WB and EV presets clamped to the selected lens's real capabilities
• User-created capture profiles with apply, rename and confirmed deletion flows
• Fixes for preview reuse after rotation, capture races immediately after camera binding, Sony edge-frame artifacts and battery broadcast permission errors

Portrait/landscape layouts, repeated rotation, three lenses, stills, video with and without audio, profiles and both UI languages were exercised on an Xperia 1 SOV40.

Pro camera UI

• Settings are now icon-driven (ISO/SS/AF/WB/EV/FMT/MIC/PRF): tap an icon to open its controls, with change dots and per-item auto handling.
• Plain-text status, settings summary, and a vertical ×1.0-style lens switcher on/around the preview; the preview keeps edge margins on a black stage in every orientation.
• Toolbar pinned to the top in portrait and the panel top in landscape.

Behaviour

• Tap-to-focus: inside the locked box unlocks, outside refocuses there.
• Background recording gains pause/resume notification buttons with pause-aware elapsed time.
• Lens/mode switching is debounced with bind retries — no more setup failures on rapid taps.
• The preview always matches the still aspect ratio (WYSIWYG).

Galaxy S24 verified

• Hidden telephoto/ultra-wide lenses recognised with no duplicates, correct default lens, working telephoto capture, slow-motion recording, background pause/resume/stop, and all portrait/landscape layouts exercised on-device.

Fcam pro v2.2.1 — device-compatibility hardening for the v2.2.0 features. No breaking changes.

Fixes

• Slow-motion no longer kills the camera on strict HALs: if the high-fps bind is rejected, the app falls back to a normal recording bind so the preview stays alive.
• Panorama accepts JPEG captures (previously dropped silently), converts frames off the main thread, and captures on a timer on devices without a rotation sensor.
• Panorama never flashes (fixed off for exposure consistency) and uses smaller/fewer frames on low-RAM devices.
• Includes everything from v2.2.0: SLO-MO and PANO modes, exposure compensation, the phone shutter-bar UI, wider tablet panels while the manual panel is open, and JPEG / JPEG+RAW / RAW (DNG) save formats on RAW-capable lenses.

Fcam pro v2.2.0 — slow-motion, panorama, exposure compensation, a refreshed phone UI, and sensor-RAW stills. No breaking changes.

New modes

• SLO-MO: high-frame-rate recording (120fps → 4x slow, etc.) with timestamp-stretch post-processing. Needs a camera with high-speed video support; otherwise the shutter reports it as unsupported. Clips are saved silent.
• PANO: sweep panorama — tap capture, pan slowly, auto-captures up to 8 frames and stitches them. Guide rails, progress readout, and finish/cancel controls included.

Pro controls

• Exposure compensation (EV) slider appears right below the shutter-speed control while exposure stays fully auto.
• Save format selector on RAW-capable lenses: JPEG / JPEG+RAW / RAW (DNG), with a RAW10/12/14 badge. JPEG-only lenses stay JPEG.

Phone UI

• Bottom shutter bar (thumbnail | large shutter | front-back switch), zoom-factor pills, and a centered scrollable mode selector.
• Tablet panels widen while the manual panel is open.

Fcam pro v2.1.0 — zoom indicator, guaranteed 1x startup, and background-recording safety. No breaking changes.

Zoom

• The current zoom ratio now shows as a pill at the top of the control panel (Japanese / English).
• Tap the pill to reset to 1.0x.
• Both the UI and the camera always start at 1.0x, including after lens switches and mode changes.

Background recording

• Keeps the lens you are using (ultra-wide / wide / tele / macro / front) and the current orientation; falls back to the default front/back camera when the exact lens is unavailable.
• The shutter and lens switcher are disabled while it runs, so taps can no longer silently do nothing.
• Fixed a double-start race that could leak a recording, and a startup failure on devices without microphone permission or with audio disabled.

Fcam pro v2.0.0 — the control panel is redesigned. Camera behaviour is unchanged.

New panel

• Phone portrait keeps the compact stacked layout.
• ≥600 dp portrait shows a floating panel on the left — icons in two columns, vertical PHOTO / VIDEO / OTHERS tabs, and you can pin the panel to the top, centre or bottom (its shading only covers the panel itself). OTHERS shows 2 icons per row.
• Landscape shows a right side-rail.
• The panel collapses from a button at its bottom. Collapsed, only a small movable island is left: front/back switch + shutter + expand button + battery level. Your capture mode is kept.

Also

• Front/back switch is now next to the shutter in every layout.
• The latest photo/video appears as a real thumbnail at the bottom of the panel — tap it to open your gallery app.
• Battery % shows next to the shutter (and under it when the panel is collapsed).
• Lens switching (ultra-wide / wide / tele / macro / front) is an always-visible row in photo and video mode.
• The manual panel no longer has a shutter-volume slider (shutter sound is the on/off toggle in Settings), and the "manual settings" button only appears in Photo and Video mode.
