v1.1.0 — Stability & Data-Safety Fixes
This release focuses on crash fixes and data safety found during a code review. No new user-facing features.
Fixed
- Fixed a crash on Android 7.0/7.1 devices caused by using an API26-only notification API below the app's declared minimum OS version.
- Fixed a crash (
SecurityException) that could occur when changing the ringtone volume without Do Not Disturb access granted. - Routines can no longer be saved without a usable trigger (missing time, days, or Wi-Fi SSID) that would otherwise silently never run.
- Do Not Disturb permission status now refreshes automatically when returning to the app, instead of requiring a manual re-check.
- Deleting a routine now asks for confirmation first.
- Fixed a background-service resource leak (coroutine scope not cancelled on service teardown).
- The database is now set up to support real migrations going forward, instead of silently wiping all saved routines on a future schema change.
Other
- Removed the release signing keystore from git tracking (this repo is public). The app is now signed with a newly issued key — devices with v1.0.1 installed will need to uninstall it before installing this version, since Android does not allow in-place updates across a signing key change.
- Project site migrated to https://volume-routine.pages.dev/.
