What's new

  • Windows. O-Scope now runs on Windows 10 and 11, x64 and ARM64, in one bundle.
  • Compare view (beta). Check tracks to sum them with this track and see the summing gain. Each track shows its offset, polarity and correlation against this track. Preview fix shows the sum with those offsets and flips applied.
  • Hover readout. Point at the trace to read the time and level there; extra measuring readouts are available.
  • Sixteen lanes and longer spans. The Multi view shows up to 16 tracks, and tempo-synced spans reach 16 bars. The window grows so every stacked lane fits its label.
  • Smoother drawing. 60 frames a second on 60 Hz to 165 Hz displays, with less CPU spent per frame.

Fixes

  • Wheel zoom and pan work with mice that scroll by lines or pages.
  • The focus ring shows on pressed buttons.
  • The UI uses the same embedded fonts on every system.

Requirements

  • macOS 13.1 or later (up from 13.0), on Apple silicon or Intel.
  • Or Windows 10 or later, x64 or ARM64, with the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime (included with Windows 11 and current Windows 10).
  • A VST3 host. See HOSTS.md for the hosts tested so far.

Projects saved with earlier versions open with their settings unchanged.

Install

macOS

  1. Download O-Scope-0.4.0-macOS.zip below and unzip it.

  2. Move O-Scope.vst3 to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/, replacing an earlier version.

  3. This release is not signed with an Apple Developer ID, so macOS quarantines the download. Clear the quarantine flag in Terminal:

    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/O-Scope.vst3

  4. Rescan plugins in your host. O-Scope appears under Orizon Audio.

Windows

  1. Download O-Scope-0.4.0-Windows.zip below and unzip it.
  2. Move O-Scope.vst3 to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\.
  3. Rescan plugins in your host. O-Scope appears under Orizon Audio.
