v0.1.0
Pre-release馃殌 First Release - Version 0.1.0
Overview
This is the first official release of the Spring Boot application. The application runs inside a Docker container and connects seamlessly to a MySQL database, also running in Docker, through a defined Docker network. Continuous Integration (CI) has been successfully integrated with GitHub Actions to automate the build and testing process.
Key Features:
Dockerized Spring Boot Application:
The application is containerized and packaged using Docker for ease of deployment and scalability.
The Dockerfile sets up the Spring Boot application to run in a lightweight Java 17 JDK Alpine environment.
MySQL Database Integration:
The application connects to a MySQL database, also running in a Docker container.
Network Configuration:
Docker Compose manages the containers, ensuring that the app and database can communicate over a shared network.
GitHub CI Integration:
A GitHub Actions workflow has been set up to automatically build and test the application on every push to the repository.
The workflow uses Maven to package the Spring Boot app and Docker Compose to run integration tests.
Database and app services are run in detached mode (docker-compose up -d) to allow for continuous testing.
