stop indexing maps with every single map update

With so many places being broken down into smaller maps, right now it takes 4x as long to index a map then to download a update. When you have many small maps updating it takes forever a map indexing happens non stop.

Could not map indexing happen after all the downloading of maps is done?
Or at least have a manual map indexing option for power users who only update a few times a year?

Could you please specify how many maps (and what region) you have? Where do you store them? Do you use the latest version of the app?

Latest version from fdroid They are on my main storage I have about 80+ maps like British Columbia Canada and others.
