Release list
v0.1.8-beta
Tutorial exports
- Include export presets in the standalone tutorial download for Web, Windows, Linux, macOS, Android and iOS.
- Enable GDExtensions in the Web preset, with threads disabled, so the bundled GDScript implementation can run in the browser.
- Add browser playback checks covering all five lessons in both C# and GDScript, in Debug and Release.
For .NET web builds, use 2dog 4.7.2.109 or later, with native packages 4.7.2.20 or later. This fixes imports and packaging being redirected by GODOT_EDITOR, and selects matching Debug or Release GDExtension libraries. Update existing 2dog projects with dnx 2dog update, then publish the web host again.

Tutorial improvements
- Resize the in-engine tutorial to use more of your window while preserving each lesson's stage proportions.
- Open the active lesson scene directly in the Godot editor from its scene-path button. The link follows your C# or GDScript selection and animates when an editor connection is available.
- Include the tutorial's editor plugin in the standalone download so scene links work immediately when running the project from Godot.
- Fix tutorial controls initializing before their references are restored during editor assembly reloads.
- Match the convenient syntax-sugar examples to the structured examples by repeating their ping-pong pulse twice in both C# and GDScript, in the tutorial and web documentation.
Documentation
- Make the web tutorial, standalone tutorial download, and lesson sources easier to find in the README.
- Explain how to open lesson scenes from the standalone tutorial.

Standalone tutorial
- Download
tweens.gd-tutorial.zipfor the complete five-step tutorial in Godot, with matching C# and GDScript lessons for installation, quickstart, definitions, syntax sugar, and playback. - The tutorial includes the same-version addon, prebuilt native libraries, artwork, fonts, and source-code panels. Open
project.godot, build, and run with Godot .NET 4.7.2 and the .NET 8 SDK or later. Both tutorial modes use a shared C# interface and require Godot .NET. - Release checks now compile and run the packaged tutorial in a fresh project in both languages.
C# performance
- Start concrete immutable
Tweens.*definitions through generatedTweenScheduler.AddandTweenoverloads without boxing the definition. - Reduce allocations when preparing chains and querying group pause state, and avoid redundant scheduler writes while retaining active tweens.
- Add isolated BenchmarkDotNet suites for managed scheduling, engine-backed adapters, and comparisons against direct property writes, plus catalog validation and ranking tools.
Documentation
- Expand animated explanations of definitions and easing, refine the tutorial examples and playback documentation, and improve installation guidance.
- Respect reduced-motion preferences in interactive documentation examples.
- Publish LLM-friendly documentation exports and crawler permissions, with automated export and link checks.

Addon packaging improvements
- Ship a stable
.uidfile for every addon script and GDExtension, so installation and updates preserve script identities and avoid generating new UID files in the addon folder. - Package text files with LF line endings on every platform. Packaging now checks both line endings and UID completeness before producing the addon ZIP.
- Set the GDExtension's minimum Godot version to 4.7, matching the addon's requirements. Godot 4.7.2 is the tested version.
C# definitions and GDScript validation
- Nest the C# definitions and effects inside the static
tweens.gd.Tweensclass, avoiding a globalTweensnamespace in the consuming project. Withusing tweens.gd;, definitions remain available asTweens.Position2D, and effects asTweens.FX. - Tighten GDScript types and adapter access so the addon compiles with every warning enabled except
inferred_declaration. The shader adapter now reports a failed shader-change subscription during preparation. - Expand Debug validation to compile every GDScript project script, check addon warnings, and enforce Godot's default warnings in the gallery examples.
Documentation and publishing
- Replace the shipped addon READMEs with concise installation guides and examples for both languages, with links to the full documentation. Clarify how to use the NuGet package alongside the GDScript addon without compiling duplicate C# types.
- Correct documentation wording, links, and references to the C# definition types.
- Add automatic NuGet publication through Trusted Publishing after the release checks and GitHub package upload, plus a manual retry path for packages from an existing GitHub release.

Elastic easing corrected
Solo Elastic easing now has a longer, more readable spring motion. The default Out.Elastic reaches its first overshoot around 16% of the duration instead of 12%, and settles near 90% instead of 45%, so the animation no longer appears to finish halfway through its allotted time.
- Retune the oscillation period and damping in both C# and GDScript, preserving the calibrated 10%–50% overshoot strengths and smooth arrival at the endpoint.
- Update the easing playground and documentation previews to match the library, with shared conformance fixtures and checks for the revised oscillation spacing.
Documentation improvements
- Rework and polish the C# and GDScript guides throughout, with clearer explanations, corrected examples, and improved navigation in both languages.
- Add an interactive first-tween tutorial that shows how endpoints, duration, and easing change each animation. Its controls and animation state carry across language switches.
- Add a six-step anatomy walkthrough and a definitions reuse demo, showing how one definition can start multiple tweens with individual overrides. Introduce definitions before syntax sugar in the tutorial.
- Add a Porting Godot Tweens guide mapping Godot's transitions and easing modes to tweens.gd equivalents, including legacy easing names.
- Split custom easing into dedicated Functions and Curves guides, with redirects from the previous custom-easing pages, and improve effect previews and API explanations.

Easing default corrected
The default Blend width is now 0.1 instead of 0.2, matching the documented default in both C# and GDScript. At the neutral split (Skew/skew = 0.5), mixed In/Out easing curves now join over 45%–55% of progress rather than 40%–60%.
- The correction applies to tween options, configuration builders, and standalone easing evaluation. The easing playground and shared conformance fixtures use the same default.
- Mixed easing pairs that rely on the default may look different near their join. Set
Blend = 0.2in C# orblend = 0.2in GDScript to preserve the previous shape. - Matching In/Out families at the neutral split retain their conventional shape.
Documentation and examples
- Reorganize the C# and GDScript API references around a tween's lifecycle, with dedicated pages for callbacks and starting playback. Previous modes and enums page URLs redirect to their replacements.
- Add a visual easing-family reference covering curve families and numbered variants.
- Improve interactive demonstrations of timelines, playback, ownership, fill modes, timing, and endpoint variations, alongside clearer code comparisons and syntax-sugar examples.
- Add class headings and section links to the GDScript property catalog's table of contents.

PingPongin C# andping_pongin GDScript across definitions, configuration, and native bindings. - Rewrite and shorten the C# and GDScript guides, with clearer comparisons, hints, and a reordered tutorial that includes syntax sugar.
- Split easing effects and custom easing into dedicated guides, and put the easing playground first.
- Combine related material and shader guidance while preserving links to the previous pages.
