v2.179.1
Fixed — the sidecar proxy denied Dozzle its own connection health check
v2.179.0 shipped DOZZLE_PROXY_ENV denying INFO, reasoning Dozzle's only
needs were listing containers and streaming logs. Deploying it for real
against the live demo panel (not just a synthetic probe) found otherwise:
Dozzle's client calls GET /info on every connect to populate the remote
host's CPU/memory/Docker-version card and decide whether the host is
"available" at all. With INFO denied, every deploy logged Failed to get docker info and reported the host available:false, even though container
listing worked underneath — it would have shipped looking broken to every
real user. /info returns daemon/host metadata only (OS, CPU count, Docker
version), no container/image/secret data, so granting it does not reopen the
vector the sidecar exists to close. Verified before and after on the same
config: the error is gone and the connection completes cleanly with INFO=1.
Install: curl -sL dockpanel.dev/install.sh | bash
Every release is installed on a throwaway VPS and driven as a user before
it ships. What that means, and what it has found, is written up at
https://docs.dockpanel.dev/testing.html.
Binaries are static musl builds signed with Sigstore; checksums.txt
and the .sig/.pem pairs are attached below.
