NotiGlow v1.4

NotiGlow v1.4 introduces a complete UI/UX overhaul, modern component redesigns, 13 color themes with Light/Dark variants, RGB neon spectrum glow, centralized motion policy, and rendering fixes for ambient screen glows.

  • Modern UI Overhaul: Redesigned solid-thumb sliders, floating dropdown/ComboBox, and clean compact sidebar navigation.
  • 13 Theme Palettes (Light & Dark): 26 total theme variations with automatic System/Light/Dark switching.
  • RGB Neon Spectrum: Continuous 8-color neon rainbow spectrum available across all glow styles.
  • Centralized Motion Policy: Full accessibility compliance respecting system and user "Reduce Motion" preferences across all clicks, hovers, transitions, shimmer, and glow animations.
  • Ambient Glow Geometry Fixes: Aspect-ratio-compensated Ripple rings hitting all four corners simultaneously without corner clipping, and zero-edge-stripe Comet/Sweep rendering.

  • Skeleton Loading State: Theme-bound pulse shimmer with zero-animation static freeze under Reduce Motion.
  • Visual Decluttering: Removed Live Preview from General settings and eliminated legacy back-navigation arrow.

  • Centralized Reduce Motion: When Reduce Motion is enabled, all click, hover, shimmer, and transition animations transition immediately with zero delay.
  • Ripple Corner Rendering Fix: Dynamic aspect-ratio compensation ensures concentric circular wave pulses hit all screen corners simultaneously.
  • Comet & Sweep Edge Stripe Fix: Fully transparent gradient boundaries prevent edge stripe clipping artifacts under Pad spread method.
  • RGB Engine Support: Full 8-stop neon spectrum rendering enabled across Pulse, Ambient, Sweep, Comet, and Ripple.

ÔÜí Performance & Reliability

  • Frozen Brushes: All theme color brushes are frozen (SolidColorBrush.Freeze()) to eliminate WPF visual tree re-allocation overhead.
  • Reduced UI Resource Retention: Eliminated unused background preview controls, reducing retained working set memory.
  • Production-Safe Notification Reader: Primary authoritative Windows OS AppInfo resolution ensures zero false positives; unpackaged E_NOTIMPL toast handling strictly isolated to test runners.
  • Test Validation: 87/87 unit tests passing, zero warnings/errors on Release build and publish.
