Following up this thread, I'd like to sponsor the work needed to make owncloudcmd able to authenticate (as the GUI client does) using credentials already stored in the Keychain.
The issue #5609 explain the expected behaviour.
I'm sorry not to be able to contribute directly, but I'm available to fund anyone has the skills to implement this, since this is a key feature in a project I'm working on (see my thread on Nexcloud's help center).
