Hi,

Microsoft is now using thumbnailPhoto instead of jpegphoto as a profile picture for Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010. Maybe the LDAP Setting (Advanced --> Special Attributes) could be modified so we can select wich LDAP Attribut should be used.

My approach would be to try jpegphoto first, and read thumbnailphoto only if jpegphoto is empty. In the end, both attributes can be set or one of them, but differently per user.

Do you mean that the user then should be able to decide which photo should be used ?

Hi, i found a working fix (shouldn't be final, but it can be used for now). Edit the \apps\user_ldap\user_ldap.php file, on lines 88 and 131 change this

$jpegPhoto = $this->access->readAttribute($dn, 'jpegPhoto');

to this

$jpegPhoto = $this->access->readAttribute($dn, 'thumbnailPhoto');

And that should load the thumbnailPhoto in your ad users :)

Lucascamilo solution worked for me, however there might be people using an older Version with the photo in jpegPhoto field. So autodetecting would be fine :-)

@karlitschek on my list. Though my preferable solution is to check thumbnailPhoto if jpegPhoto is not set. After all, both attributes are available on AD and jpegPhoto is standard by an RFC.
