OmaSend Android v1.2.4
OmaSend Android v1.2.1
Overview
OmaSend Android v1.2.1 resolves Bluetooth device picker redundancy, unifies discovery across Wi-Fi and Bluetooth transports, optimizes subnet broadcast, and improves transfer reliability.
Key Changes and Bug Fixes
1. Direct RFCOMM OBEX Transfer (Eliminated Redundant Bluetooth Chooser)
- Replaced system
BluetoothOppLauncherActivityintent chooser with a custom native RFCOMM OBEX client (TransferBridge.sendViaBluetoothDirectObex). - Directly opens an RFCOMM socket to standard Object Push Profile UUID (
00001105-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB) on the selected paired target. - Users no longer experience the duplicate Bluetooth device selection dialog after selecting a target device and files.
- Provides live streaming progress updates (transferred bytes, total bytes, percentage).
2. Unified Peer Discovery & Multi-Interface Dynamic Subnet Broadcast
- Unified network beacon discovery and bonded Bluetooth devices into single
HYBRIDentries (DiscoveryManager.kt). - Prioritizes high-speed Wi-Fi IP while retaining Bluetooth MAC address as fallback.
- Added dynamic multi-interface scanning across all active network interfaces via
NetworkInterface.getNetworkInterfaces(), preventing discovery dropouts on dual-band or VPN-enabled setups. - Automated peer list cleanup ensuring stale peers are purged.
3. Dynamic UI & Animated Feedback
- Dynamic radar sweep and real-time active status indicators in
RadarScreen.kt. - Immediate toast notifications and reactive transfer progress dialogs.
- Clean JetBrainsMono Nerd Font styling and compact layouts.
4. Security & Hardening
- Bounded memory limits and monotonic request deadlines.
- Strict RFC 1918 / RFC 3927 local network address scoping for incoming and outgoing socket requests.
- Full compliance with HANCORE zero-trust security standards.
