WiserHeatCrestronDriver 1.3.16
WiserHeatCrestronDriver v1.3.16
Published by Crestron: Wiser Heat 1.3.16 was added to the Crestron production driver database on 25 September 2026 (catalog version 1.3.016.0000).
Catalog entry: Drayton Wiser / Wiser Heat Gateway; device type Platform; developer Neil Colvin.
This patch updates WiserHeatAPIv2 to 1.1.3 so a hub that stalls partway through an HTTP response cannot bypass the driver's read-cancellation deadline on Mono. It covers both successful and error response bodies. Saved hub and room configuration remains compatible.
The schedule editor now has eight entries per day, matching the hub's supported limit; the unused ninth and tenth rows have been removed.
Install the attached Thermostat_WiserHeat_IP_V2.pkg through the normal driver update process. The CrestronHomeDriver.Wiser.WiserHeat NuGet distribution wraps that installable package and is not a library reference.
See CHANGELOG.md for product changes and development history for validation scope.

NUnit 5 test package 1.1.0 - 1 October 2026
This is a test-tooling update attached to the existing release. Product binaries, product version and NuGet packages are unchanged.
Processor test package | Documentation | Validation receipt | Build sources | SHA-256 checksums
Uses NUnit 5.0.0. 32 offline cases passed in each of two runs from the packaged assembly on Windows. Processor-only lifecycle fixtures are skipped on Windows and are not included in that pass count. All packaged suite identities were checked against source discovery. Live/manual and processor runtime tests were not repeated for this migration; previous hardware results do not certify this package. The test package version is independent of the product version.
WiserHeatCrestronDriver v1.3.15
WiserHeatCrestronDriver v1.3.15
This patch fixes hub offline detection and automatic recovery, thermostat temperature handling and startup with a renamed package. It includes the product fixes developed since public version 1.3.8; versions 1.3.9 through 1.3.14 were intermediate candidates.
- Request fresh hub data approximately every ten seconds. A failed bounded read marks the gateway and its room thermostats offline; polling continues and a successful fresh read restores availability without user input.
- Keep installed room controllers and saved configuration throughout a communication interruption, and ignore late state updates from a replaced connection.
- Correct Celsius/Fahrenheit conversion, display and supported heating limits of 5-30 C / 41-86 F. Fahrenheit controls use whole-degree input steps; physical targets retain the hub's half-degree Celsius resolution. Accept tiny floating-point roundoff at valid endpoints.
- Display Off without treating it as a numeric temperature. Preserve an Auto room's control mode when its target changes while the global schedule index is rebuilding.
- Resolve the embedded manifest explicitly so the driver starts with an alternate assembly filename, and avoid logging unchanged schedule data on every poll.
- Update the runtime dependency WiserHeatAPIv2 to 1.1.2.
Installation
Use the attached Thermostat_WiserHeat_IP_V2.pkg, or the CrestronHomeDriver.Wiser.WiserHeat 1.3.15 NuGet distribution package. The NuGet package wraps the installable driver; it is not a library reference. GitHub source archives are not installable driver packages.
Validation
The fixed driver passed 203 desktop lifecycle/regression cases. The outage regression reproduced the former defect. On a CP4-R, a hub network interruption longer than 60 seconds produced offline feedback and automatic recovery from fresh hub reads, preserving the installed child and saved configuration. The ordinary net472 package and NuGet wrapper were built and their versions verified locally.
Live validation used the Drayton Wiser second-generation, three-channel HubR. Current v1 hub compatibility and other Wiser-branded product families remain unverified. A separate observation recorded a brief offline interval and automatic recovery, with its cause unresolved; that result is retained in the development and validation history.
See the changelog for product history.
WiserHeatCrestronDriver 1.3.8
WiserHeatCrestronDriver v1.3.8
This patch fixes schedule selection and editing, room readiness after reconnection, and command completion reporting. It updates WiserHeatAPIv2 to 1.1.1.
- Keep schedule choices current when hub schedules are added, renamed or removed, and retain the confirmed assignment when a selection is invalid, rejected or still pending.
- Preserve unsaved schedule edits during polling. Refuse a stale save when the shared schedule or room assignment has changed, and require refreshed hub state to confirm a successful save.
- Refresh editor values when changing days or editing a time or temperature. Reject non-finite temperatures and values outside the supported 5-35 degree range, while preserving normal half-degree rounding and Cancel behavior.
- Restore existing rooms' readiness after reconnecting. Use the SDK's HVAC category for the heating thermostat and avoid removing and re-registering room controllers during state reads.
- Report failed follow-up reads as unsuccessful room commands. Require a confirmed schedule assignment before switching an unassigned room to automatic control.
- Keep hot-water and schedule-save button captions visible on smaller displays. Use the repository's GitHub page as the public support contact.
- Expose the driver lifetime identifier and last successful hub-refresh timestamp for diagnostics.
Validation
The gated development build 1.3.008.0001 passed desktop and processor regression suites, read-only live-hub checks and installed-driver checks after updating an existing gateway. The temporary test instance and package files were removed. Prior Android checks apply to the particular development packages identified in the validation history; these results do not establish final Crestron submission acceptance or a completed endurance test for this release.
See CHANGELOG.md for product changes and development and validation history for detailed test and CI work. Crestron submission preparation remains separate from this GitHub driver release.
Wiser Heat v1.3.7
WiserHeatCrestronDriver v1.3.7
Patch release fixing overlapping room schedule selection and adding diagnostics for installed-driver testing. Hub API dependencies and normal room control behavior are unchanged.
- Apply the room command guard to schedule selection, preventing a second room command from overlapping an unfinished action.
- Expose room identity and command activity for the development test workflow. Completion is observed after command handling and fresh hub-state readback; independent readings determine whether the requested state was reached.
- Add optional read-only desktop probes for installed-room control observation and exact-package configuration compatibility during code rollback. Neither probe sends device control commands.
- Document private settings, strict state restoration, existing-tile preservation and the limits of compatibility verification.
Validation
- Driver unit and lifecycle suites passed locally and on the processor. Probe tests cover observation, restoration and configuration/package refusal paths.
- An existing Office room passed Auto → Manual → Auto through the installed driver, with independent hub readings, guarded settings unchanged and its tile retained.
- A complete production workflow passed local, processor and read-only live checks, updated the driver, deliberately failed an installed read-only check, then restored the reviewed previous code. Configuration, gateway/child identities, room assignments and loaded health were preserved. The original workflow stayed failed as intended.
- Rollback evidence applies only to the exact reviewed package pair, not arbitrary future versions. The temporary test instance and its owned archive were removed and the reservation released.
See CHANGELOG.md, installed-room testing and configuration verification. Private inputs and recovery evidence are excluded. Processor test packages are separate GitHub-only releases.
WiserHeatCrestronDriver Tests v1.0.2
WiserHeatCrestronDriver Tests
1.0.2
- Include command activity and schedule-selection overlap regressions alongside the existing command-refresh coverage. Use discovered cases rather than fixed test-count gates.
- Unit and lifecycle suites passed on the development processor; the separate read-only live hub suite also passed.
- Select the standalone package in Configure’s Utility category or run it through the Windows runner, CLI or Test Explorer workflow.
- Private live settings remain external. Installed-room controls and rollback probes are desktop workflow tooling, not automatic physical actions in this test package.
- Published on GitHub only; no processor test NuGet package is produced.
1.0.1
-
Rebuild with CrestronHomeNUnit 1.2.1. Test execution now participates in the shared processor reservation used by the runner, Test Explorer, CLI and hardware CI.
-
The net472 package contains 42 discovered cases, with 39 in automatic suites. Live suites remain optional and require private inputs where documented.
-
Use the standalone Utility tile, Windows runner, or the solution's Test Explorer workflow project. Private workflow plans can remove the temporary instance after testing.
-
This is an independent processor-test package release on GitHub; it does not publish or update a driver/library NuGet package.
-
Add three optional read-only live hub tests, for 42 total cases (29 unit, 10 lifecycle, 3 live). Transfer private LiveTestSettings.json from the runner; the package contains no hub credentials.
-
Use NUnit tooling 1.2.1 for shared processor reservations.
1.0.0 — 2026-09-14
- 29 offline tests and 10 SDK lifecycle tests, shared between desktop validation and the net472 processor package.
- Cover room discovery, stable child identity, renamed/removed rooms, cleared settings, overlapping connections and late refresh/login completion. Clearing or disposing the platform now removes its children and prevents old work from restoring them. Update WiserHeatAPIv2 to 1.1.0.6.
- Install the standalone test package from Configure’s Utility category. Select suites using its Home tile or the Windows NUnit runner.
- Processor test packages are GitHub release assets and are not published to NuGet. Private test inputs and deployment settings are excluded.
WiserHeatCrestronDriver v1.3.6
WiserHeatCrestronDriver v1.3.6
Patch release fixing delayed UI state after Wiser control commands. No public API or dependency changes.
Fix
Successful hot-water, Away mode, room boost/cancel, schedule advance and schedule enable/disable commands now read fresh hub state immediately. Previously the normal polling throttle could reuse an old snapshot, re-enable the hot-water button with its previous state and make another press repeat the same command. Setpoint and schedule-edit commands already refreshed immediately and retain that behavior. Routine polling remains unchanged.
Validation
- 47 local and 47 processor unit/entity tests passed, including eight command-refresh regressions.
- Three read-only live hub tests passed, followed by three installed-driver health checks.
- The installed driver was updated without rebooting or changing its configuration. A user-operated hot-water toggle updated promptly after one press.
The processor test package contains 29 unit tests, 18 lifecycle tests and three optional read-only live hub tests. Processor packages remain GitHub-only and private settings are excluded from source and packages.
See CHANGELOG.md for history and README.md for installation and testing.

WiserHeatCrestronDriver v1.3.5
WiserHeatCrestronDriver v1.3.5
Patch release correcting lifecycle, configuration and recovery defects while preserving the public API and intended driver behavior.
Fixes
- Clearing configuration or disposing the platform removes its room controllers and prevents delayed connections or refresh responses from restoring old rooms or status.
- A superseded connection cannot replace the current API client. Rediscovery preserves existing room identity while updating names and observed temperatures.
- Reopening saved schedules preserves time slots; edits to cloned schedules do not mutate the original schedule collections. Compact times such as
630are accepted. - Update WiserHeatAPIv2 to the already published 1.1.0.6 dependency.
Tests and build process
- 29 offline tests and 10 SDK lifecycle tests. The current implementation passes on Windows in Debug and Release; both processor suites passed twice in the same host process.
- The shared net472 processor test package is available in the solution and appears under Utility in Configure. Its standalone Home tile and Windows NUnit runner select the test suites.
- Driver Debug build versions follow the manifest; three-part release tags select the CI release version. Test builds do not increment or deploy the production driver.
- Processor test packages are not published to NuGet. Private deployment settings, live inputs and desktop SDK runtime dependencies are excluded from source and release assets.
Installation and documentation
The GitHub release includes the production driver package and a separate processor test package. The test package appears under Utility in Configure and is not included in the driver NuGet package. See CHANGELOG.md for release history and README.md for installation and testing.
v1.3.4
v1.3.3
This patch release forces explicit Release build constants so DEBUG-guarded informational logging cannot be compiled into Release artifacts by workflow or environment defaults.
