Privacy Policy

Row Counter ("the app," "we," "us") is a row counter for knitting and crochet. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle. The short version: the app works entirely on your device, has no account, and collects no personal information.
Everything you create in the app — your projects, row counts, repeat counters, chosen colors, and settings — is stored locally on your device only. We do not have a server, you do not create an account, and this data is never sent to us or anyone else. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
The app does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, or any tracking data. There are only two situations in which any information leaves your device, and both are initiated by you:
If you use the in-app feedback form, the message you type is sent to a Google Form so we can read it. Along with your message we include the app version and your device's operating-system version (for example, "Row Counter 1.0.0 · ios 18.0") to help us reproduce issues. We do not ask for or send your name, email address, or any device identifier. Please don't include personal information in the message itself. Feedback submissions are handled by Google; see Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The app offers optional tips through in-app purchase. These purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive or store your payment details. Tips are optional and do not unlock any app features. For information about how your purchase data is handled, see Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.
The app may also ask Apple or Google to show their standard "rate this app" prompt. This is handled by the platform; we receive no information from it.
The feedback you send is used solely to understand bugs and improve the app. We do not sell, rent, or share it with third parties for marketing, and we do not combine it with any other data (we have none to combine it with).
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal information is collected, the app is suitable for users of all ages.
Your counter data lives only on your device, under your control — delete a project or the app to remove it. Feedback messages you choose to send are retained in our Google Form responses for as long as they remain useful for improving the app. If you would like a feedback submission removed, contact us at the email below and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Since the app collects no personal information and uses no tracking, there is generally nothing to access, correct, or delete beyond the optional feedback described above. Contact us with any request and we will help.
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version at the same location.
