Fixed custom ControlMode operation

Fixed weird initialization issue

I have no idea why, but sometimes the event handler Function objects weren't being initialized.
I think it's fixed now.

First working release

Now works on Wayland!
(Somewhat, it's a bit quirky on Wayland)
