v4.0.0-alpha.61

This is the last release of the user-level line

4.0.0-alpha.61 is the exit release. Agentic-kit is moving to project-scoped management: it will set up and manage only the projects you opt in, and will no longer write to your user-level host configuration. That line ships next as 4.0.0-beta.1 and later on its own beta npm tag, so nothing updates into it by itself.

• ak sync no longer installs another ak version. It prints the upgrade steps below instead, so this release never moves you into the new line.
• ak uninstall --purge now removes everything this line ever placed, after confirmations. Your own data is kept by default and the purge asks first: the AQE store-merge archives and backups, and the user-level Ruflo memory store.
• Which hosts the new line supports: beta.1 covers Claude Code and Codex, and beta.2 adds OpenCode. Hermes and the external host adapter contract leave v4 and are planned for v5. If you rely on a host that is not yet supported, stay on 4.0.0-alpha.61.

Upgrade steps

Run these from any directory. Each runs this release by exact version through npx, whatever you have installed globally.

If you would rather stay on the current line, do nothing: 4.0.0-alpha.61 keeps working.
