LazyBrain 2.1.0 makes Codex Desktop the primary product surface.

Highlights:

  • Searches installed local Skills, Plugins, MCP servers, agents, and commands.
  • Converts vague tasks into explainable recommendations, alternatives, clarification, and safe workflows.
  • Adds a versioned desktopVisualization payload for the OpenAI @visualize preview, with accessible Markdown/table fallback.
  • Requires user selection of @visualize in the Codex Desktop composer; card selection never executes a capability.
  • Treats local capability metadata as untrusted display data and excludes MCP credential values.
  • Adds Node 18/20/22 release gates, packed-install smoke tests, plugin/Skill validation, and zero known dependency vulnerabilities.

Verified: 157 tests, Node 18/20/22, packed tarball install, Codex plugin/MCP readback, public package audit, and independent cold review.

Known host boundary: @visualize availability depends on the Codex Desktop account/workspace preview. LazyBrain returns the same data as an accessible fallback when the plugin is not exposed.

The GitHub tarball below is published and installable. npm remains at 2.0.1 until the repository NPM_TOKEN is configured.
