This update supports a change in how the sponsor email address is used. The field can now be used by registrants who are not COPPA restricted to supply an alternate email address that the BlocklyProp system will use to confirm the registration.
The use case for this change is when students register for an account, are not COPPA restricted but are not able to use their school email account to receive the confirmation email. With this change, a student can provide the instructor's email address in the alternate email address field. The instructor will then receive a confirmation message on the student's behalf, execute the confirmation link and activate the student's account.
