Release version of the main Android Application

Summary

What Changed since Last Release

[!IMPORTANT]
Update. Older versions can no longer sign in at all. Apple's servers began refusing the way every release up to 1.0.5 identified itself, so those versions fail at login no matter what you do. Nothing is wrong with your Apple ID or your password.

Added:

  • Read your tags straight from your iCloud account. No Mac and no export file — sign in, give one of your Apple devices' screen-lock passcodes once, and your tags come across. The macOS exporter still works and is still the route if you prefer it.
  • Find tags over Bluetooth. When a tag is near your phone the app now sees it directly, showing signal strength and battery, and can ring it — even when Apple's network has nothing to report. Contributed by @ubrt.
  • Be warned when you leave a tag behind. Turn it on per tag: if the tag stops being heard once you have moved on, the app sounds an alarm and tells you where you last had it. The delay and the sound are yours to choose. Also by @ubrt.
  • Anisette runs on the device. Signing in no longer depends on somebody else's Anisette server being up.
  • Open passcode-locked exports, which the exporter now produces by default.
  • Location history can be exported as a file, with a date range. Contributed by @hamza-lzr.
  • OpenStreetMap was contributed as a map provider by @LiamJ74.

Fixed:

  • Signing in failed with 503. Apple's edge refuses any client identifying itself the way this app used to. (#181)
  • Signing in failed with 429 Too Many Requests. Apple refuses the second of the two requests a login makes when both go down one connection. Found and diagnosed by @LiamJ74. (#206)
  • A sign-in that Apple refused now offers a server to fall back to, and shows how long Apple asked you to wait when it says.
  • A failed login can produce a log, from the login screen, where it was previously impossible to get one.
  • Switching map provider in Settings took effect only after restarting the app.
  • Tags imported from your account did not appear on the map until the app was restarted.
  • Several sign-in failures showed the wrong advice — a dead session offered a retry that could never work, and an account Apple refused was told to accept terms of service that did not exist. (#221, #225)
  • Assorted layout fixes: button icons sitting at different heights, an empty error box leaving a gap, the history sheet not reaching the bottom of the screen.

Known limitations:

  • A tag next to its owner's iPhone or iPad broadcasts to nobody, so Apple's network has nothing to report and neither does this app. #229 explains when a location does arrive, and what is being done about the rest.

Thanks:

@ubrt, @hamza-lzr, @LiamJ74 and @Fayupable.
