If signing in has been failing with a 503 error, this release fixes it. Update and try again. Nothing was wrong with your Apple ID, your password or your network.

Fixed:

  • Signing in stopped working entirely, for everyone. Apple began refusing the sign-in request outright, before even looking at your credentials, because of how this program identified itself. It now identifies itself the way macOS does, and signing in works again. (#168, #176, #181)

    This broke every app of this kind at once -- AltStore, SideStore, Macless Haystack and others. It was found and diagnosed by the AltStore project; the fix here is the same one.

  • A 503 from Apple no longer tells you to file a bug report. It is Apple declining to answer rather than a fault in this program, so it now says so, and no longer promises it will clear on its own -- for some accounts it did not.

Changed:

  • Each installation now gets its own device serial number. Previously every copy of the exporter, everywhere, reported the same one. Your Apple device list will show 0PENTAGX followed by four characters instead of 0PENTAGXPORT.

    Existing installations keep the serial they have been using -- only a fresh install draws a new one.
