Architekton makes repository engineering practice explicit, reviewable, and usable by humans and agents.

This experimental alpha is inspect-led:

  • architekton:inspect performs safe, read-only discovery and reports evidence as pass, fail, unknown, stale, unsupported, or conflicting.
  • architekton:bootstrap is a guarded preview for creating one root ENGINEERING.md after a complete interview and exact path, byte, and SHA-256 approval.
  • architekton:maintain is a guarded preview for explicitly approved updates to existing guidance. It never creates AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md.
  • Deterministic structural analyzers cover bounded JavaScript/TypeScript, skills-repository, and engineering-contract evidence; other ecosystems remain guided inspection.

Verified at commit 200be40859f1bb9cd36c2c66a540dbb7ca2108c7:

  • 64 tests pass.
  • Type-check, build, generated-adapter consistency, and Claude plugin validation pass.
  • Hosted GitHub Actions CI passed: https://github.com/pariyar07/architekton/actions/runs/29898055600
  • Public marketplace installation, real inspect invocation, and removal passed in isolated Codex and Claude Code smoke tests without changing the inspected repository.

This is an experimental prerelease. Its report schema, adapters, compatibility, and preview workflows are not stable APIs.
