With Parula, your data stays on your own devices, it is processed on your devices, and is not shared with anyone else. Parula is the voice assistant that puts your privacy first. Parula provides you helpful services you need, without compromising your privacy. Whether it’s your calendar, locations, messages, or personal preferences, Parula keeps it all under your own control.
Do you ever sing in the shower or have private conversations that you don’t want anyone else to hear? With Parula, your conversations are safe and secure, and you get to keep your private life private.

You're in the kitchen and your hands are covered in flour from baking a cake. You can turn on your oven, set a timer, and play your favorite music without having to wash your hands.
You just need to whisper "Parula, Good night!", and it can turn off the light and your TV, put your phone on silent mode, and activate your alarm system.
Parula is based on the latest technology of a "large language model" to understand your commands. So, you will be able to speak naturally and tell it what you need in your own words. You won't need to know or remember the specific phrase that the voice assistant understands.
Parula has many highly useful built-in apps, but it can also command your smart phone applications or services on the Internet.

Parula is completely free for you. You don't have to pay anything. Just download it and start using it!
We're making Parula available to everybody as Open Source.
That means that everybody with the right competence can contribute to it and improve it. It also keeps us honest: Everybody can verify how it works and that our claims here are true. You don't just have to believe us - everybody can check it.
Parula is intended to be the central switchboard for all your applications, services and devices that you use.
If you are a developer, you are invited to add connections to third party applications, services, and devices. Come and join and add support for your favorite service!
For people with disabilities such as visual impairment, injured hands, or limited mobility, a voice assistant can be a game-changer. They can use a voice assistant to control their home environment, set reminders, and even make phone calls without having to physically manipulate a device. Being Open-Source, Parula can be adapted to the specific needs of a small user group, without being dependent on a large company catering for these needs. For example,
- Parula may help blind or elderly people to more actively participate in society.
- It can help people who have injured hands.
- Wikipedia or scientific resources are more easily accessible for people who cannot read.
Given that the source code is accessible to be adapted, Parula can be made to work for all these user groups.
