Fabric Switchboard is a local account workbench for Claude Code and Codex CLI, part of the PassionCode.ai toolkit. It is open source under the GNU AGPL-3.0. A commercial license is available from contact@passioncode.ai (SPDX AGPL-3.0-only OR LicenseRef-PassionCode-Commercial).

In 0.5.2

  • A refused renewal client no longer looks like a broken account. Sometimes Claude refuses the renewal client itself rather than an account's sign-in. When that happens, no account is marked Sign in again. Renewals pause for an hour, then one renewal tests the client again. The Automatic switching bar shows the pause while it lasts.
  • No first-run screens after a switch onto a new machine. When a switch has to create ~/.claude.json from scratch, Claude Code now opens without its onboarding. A config that already exists is left exactly as it was.

Everything else is as in 0.5.1-beta.1.

Downloads and installation

Both ZIPs include the desktop app and the CLI, plus LICENSE and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md. See the installation guide.

  • macOS 14+: universal build, Developer ID signed with hardened runtime, notarized by Apple and stapled.
  • Windows x64: unsigned, cross-built on macOS. It has not been installed or run on Windows (NOT_RUN). WebView2 is required.
  • Beta. Live provider acceptance is still open.

Source and verification

  • Source: exact clean binary source e4c2a0dc39b9 (this tag; #21).
  • Checks: ./scripts/check.sh passed; 245 Rust tests pass and 2 opt-in Keychain tests are ignored. Line coverage is 86.21 %.
  • Planted defects: a test was watched failing against each planted defect (evidence).
  • Notarization: submission d6a85a26-ca18-4f15-bbf3-80e4c91892b5 Accepted.
  • Credentials: no real credentials were used for any test.
