  • No more stalls behind the background scan. Switchboard read many agent transcripts on every pass in a way that held up its own answers, sometimes for 12 seconds. A tool call could time out. That work now runs aside, and subagent folders are listed every two minutes instead of every 30 seconds.
  • Hand-overs answer at once. Reading the queue of hand-overs (switchboard handovers) and taking one no longer wait behind background work, which could hold them for minutes. Fabric's console takes a hand-over before it falls back to Terminal.
