First release of ompool: a live Bitcoin mempool and blockchain dashboard for the terminal, with an embedded SuperCollider instrument that plays the network as it happens.

This is early alpha software. Expect rough edges, and expect the sound to change between releases.

Install

go install github.com/pat-riley/ompool@v0.1.0

or download the archive for your platform below. For sound, install SuperCollider so sclang is on your PATH, then run ompool audio.

What's in it

  • Overview, Recent Blocks, Transactions, Transaction Viewer, Mempool, and Mining modules, fed by mempool.space (or a self-hosted instance via OMPOOL_API_URL)
  • Audio Export: the overview on a musical grid whose tempo follows network busyness, with the OSC feed and an embedded SuperCollider instrument launched automatically
  • An open OSC protocol (/btc/tx, /btc/block, /btc/fees, /btc/mempool, /btc/clock) for any other instrument
  • ompool instrument to dump the SuperCollider script for editing, and ompool version
