In 2025 Code Connect files were generated for the majority of our components. Many of this code was merged, some remains in PRs, and some components were never connected due to the complexity of the components or the technical limitations of the Code Connect implementation.
With the evolvement of AI tooling, including both the PatternFly and Figma MCPs, as well as many designers working with these tools in Cursor, Claude Code, and potentially Figma Make, the promise that Code Connect offered a year ago now brings significant overhead, maintenance and ongoing technical debt. This Epic targets removing stale Code Connect code & PRs from our code base.
Acceptance Criteria:
- All pending PRs related to Code Connect are closed.
- Existing Code Connect code is removed from our repos.
