Due to the proprietary nature of the firmware, we can only distribute xdelta patches.

Usage

  1. Obtain the firmware update file from an HDD dump or your PSX HDD

Notes

  • On DESR-x000 and DESR-x100, a copy of the firmware image is stored at hdd0:__system:pfs:/xosd/packages/boot_0/DVRP_FIRMWARE.udm
  • On DESR-x500 and DESR-x700, a copy of the firmware image is stored at hdd0:__system:pfs:/xosd/packages/dvrp_0/DVRP_FIRMWARE.udm
  • Do not use the DVRP_FIRMWARE_FC variant of the firmware
  • Firmware images can also be found on PSX update discs after unpacking/decrypting
  • Default HDD ID used by DVRPwned is compatible with ATA Express nullkey images from NRoach44
  • XMB might not work after restoring PSX images to a clean drive. To fix this, repartition the drive using this utility
  • LBA48 support requires all LBA48-aware applications to be rebuilt with the latest PS2SDK
  • Not every XMB 2.11 function will work on PSX1
