Overview and demo of the prototype I did to pre-process modern Python code, and convert it to legacy form at build time. Also mention the editable mode hack I did to support that too (and some of the downsides of this, incl. convenient tracebacks and lack of mypy support).

Imagine you only had to write code that supported the bugfix release. That means you can use Python 3.14-only syntax from the end of 2026, and can already use Python 3.13 only syntax.
