BranchQuilt 0.4.0-alpha.7
Makes branch exploration and comparison the primary workflow.
- Automatically embeds available local and remote-tracking branches, bounded at 50 snapshots.
- Prioritizes the checked-out branch and main/master; use
--max-branchesto lower the bound or repeated--branchfor an exact set. - Shows persistent, labeled Branch and Compare controls; catalog-only refs remain visible as disabled options.

- Verified against
agency-agents: 9 branches, 1,571 file entries, selectable main/origin comparison.

BranchQuilt 0.4.0-alpha.6
Makes contributor colors self-explanatory and reduces persistent controls inside treemap regions.
- Contributor badges label colors directly on sufficiently large regions.
- Cursor-following tooltips show the full object name and explain activity, ownership, mixed, or unknown color meaning.
- Details use a compact ↗ action revealed on hover or keyboard focus.
- Cmd/Ctrl+click opens details; ordinary click continues to expand nested treemaps.
Validated with unit, browser interaction, 10,000-file scale, packed-install, and scheduled-workflow checks.
BranchQuilt 0.4.0-alpha.5
Makes treemap scaling easy to find while retaining the in-place nested treemap behavior from alpha.4.
- Persistent lower-right Area control switches between child count and bytes.
- Explicit Linear and Log buttons show the active scale.
- The control remains visible while edge toolbars fade.
Validated with unit, browser interaction, 10,000-file scale, packed-install, and scheduled-workflow checks.
BranchQuilt 0.4.0-alpha.4
Boxes now expand as nested treemaps in place, preserving repository context through directory, file, class, and function levels.
- Click a box to subdivide it within its existing area.
- Use Open → separately to show details.
- Hover anywhere on a box to see its full qualified name.
- Includes the child-count/byte and linear/log sizing controls from alpha.3.
Validated with unit, browser interaction, 10,000-file scale, packed-install, and scheduled-workflow checks.
BranchQuilt 0.4.0-alpha.3 — interactive treemap navigation
- Click a treemap box to explore its directory, file or nested declaration. Details remains available separately; breadcrumbs navigate back up.
- Size by immediate children (default) or bytes, with a Linear / Log switch. Leaves count as one in child mode; log uses log(1 + value).
- Hover or focus a box to see its full path and qualified declaration name.
Opening a source file in a paired comparison switches to that pane’s branch for symbol exploration. Files without parsed declarations open their details.
19 tests, four browser suites (including 10,000 files / 50 PRs), and both package installation checks passed. Rebuild existing reports after updating to get the new viewer.
