Archiplayer v0.5.0
Added
- The profile page is rebuilt around what you have actually listened to. A band of listening
totals sits on top, with a calendar of listening intensity (one cell per day, a row per
year) - Shows, episodes, songs and downloads are now four tabs of one list, each searchable,
sortable and countable. A show you both favourited and listened to is one row carrying
both facts rather than the same show in two places. - Favourite songs are playable. The queue holds either a whole episode or a single song
inside one, so a list of favourite songs plays end to end, jumping to each song's position
in its own archive file. - Any row can be shared or favourited in place, without opening it first.
Fixed
- Dave Emory episodes from 2019 onward, and every episode of Interpretations, now play and
download. WFMU keeps those archives on other servers, and Archiplayer used to refuse any
address outside WFMU's own archive, so those episodes failed with "could not resolve an
audio URL for this episode". - An episode whose archive player page is missing now falls back to the older listen link
before giving up, and an episode that still cannot be resolved says why: which page was
dead, or which server the audio moved to. - Both back controls now step backwards on the first press while a queue of songs is
playing, instead of restarting the current song. They only rewind at the head of the
queue, where there is nothing behind to step to. Whole-episode playback keeps its restart
behaviour, since a mis-press there costs an hour. - The four transport buttons now grey out exactly when there is nowhere to go, rather than
guessing from whether a playlist happens to be loaded. - The now-playing line names a queued song from the first frame instead of waiting for its
playlist to arrive.
