Barry is a platypus.
Lives on your computer (for the most part). Friends are best when nearby.
./install.sh
:emoji: Do you believe in miracles? If so, run the install script; maybe it will work first-time for you.
Barry runs on MacOS, but its supported versions are not privy to you - or me.
- Homebrew
- Homebrew node, major 26 (matches .node-version)
- pnpm major 10
- Orbstack
⚠️ Barry is omnipresent - wakes up when you do (see launchd docs).
Idk. I wouldn't ask you what you do. Barry is ever-changing, sometimes useful, sometimes very powerful, and sometimes just a meme. The legend of Barry has gorwn greater than that which a single javascript runtime could ever dream to be. But I use it. Barry helps me. He is my friend.
I'd make demo videos, but if you need those, you don't deserve Barry.
- Installation — machine setup and verification
- Primitives — profiles, sessions, traits, scopes, and artifacts
- Packs — adding tools and skills to a profile
- Runtimes — source-first development and local production
- Environment — where configuration and secrets belong
Is everything working right now? Maybe. Maybe not. But I believe in the primitives. And Barry knows tools - just like the first of men.
