XJAUS v1.2.0 — Dynamic Home, shared favorites and six-section settings

XJAUS pairs a controller-oriented Electron interface with a Rust sidecar for Xbox Cloud Gaming and Remote Play on Linux and Windows.

Highlights

  • Dynamic Home with a real daily catalog carousel — six entitled, art-backed titles selected deterministically per day from your actual Cloud Gaming catalog, with automatic rotation and mouse, keyboard and gamepad navigation.
  • Featured-banner actions dialog — Play now (reuses the validated cloud connect flow: authentication, availability and entitlement checks for the selected title only), Add/remove favorite, and Cancel. Opening the dialog never starts a stream; Escape, the controller B button and Cancel close it with no side effects and restore focus.
  • Favorites on Home and Cloud Gaming share one library and synchronize immediately in both directions.
  • Settings in six sections — General, Streaming, Video & audio, Interface, Diagnostics, About — with persisted interface preferences kept in their own storage namespace, separate from streaming settings.
  • Diagnostics with a sanitized technical report copy — copies the real diagnostic state while redacting credential-like values, URLs, IP addresses and account data before the report leaves the machine.
  • In-game stream menu reachable with the controller during playback.
  • Stream keepalive recovery — an expired session token (HTTP 401) now refreshes the authentication bundle and retries without dropping the running session.
  • Fixed: carousel arrows stay centered in the hero and visible during focus navigation; the gamertag capsule is back in the top-right header; gamepad B closes the featured dialog before global navigation.

SHA256SUMS — Checksums for every artifact

Verify downloads with sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS. The Windows installer is not code-signed. No separate backend download is needed: every installer bundles the Rust sidecar.

Verification notes

  • Full TypeScript, Vitest (84 files / 274 tests), Electron security/icon checks, and Rust gates (cargo fmt, 101 lib tests, 106 sidecar tests) pass for the release commit.
  • Every installer was verified as a container: sidecar byte identity and 0755 mode in the Linux packages, x64 payload architecture in the Windows installer, packaged ASAR metadata, and absence of build-time home paths in shipped binaries.
  • The Linux AppImage was launched from the packaged artifact and driven through its real UI.

Known limits

  • Hardware decode depends on your GPU, drivers and negotiated codec; VA-API flags are flags, not proof.
  • Bitrate/resolution profiles are requests; the service and your network decide the actual stream.
  • No code signing for Windows; SmartScreen may ask for confirmation on first run.
  • Streaming from your own console requires console wake/pairing support; see the README's Reporting issues section before filing bugs.

XJAUS v1.0.2 - Gamepad Menu Navigation & Windows Installer

@perjesus111-hub perjesus111-hub released this 20 Oct 17:50

XJAUS v1.0.2 — Gamepad Menu Navigation & Windows Installer

What's New

The stream menu is now fully navigable with a controller, and the focused option is always visible. This release also ships the first official Windows x64 installer.

Highlights

  • Visible focus while navigating the stream menu with a pad. Chromium does not apply :focus-visible to programmatic focus moved by the gamepad poll, so a controller-only user could not tell which option was selected. The focused option is now marked with a dedicated highlight class.
  • Discoverable control mapping. The stream menu now shows its own hints ([A] Select, [B] Back to game), so the binding is visible without reading a manual.
  • Game input stays with the game. While the menu is open, incoming game input is neutralized, and control returns to the game as soon as the menu closes.
  • New: official Windows x64 installer (NSIS, per-user installation, directory chooser). It bundles the same Rust sidecar as the Linux build, so the Windows package is self-contained and needs no separate backend download.
  • Build paths are remapped inside the shipped executables, so no personal build directory is embedded in the published binaries.
  • VA-API hardware acceleration flags, up to 1440p profiles, HEVC/H.264 codec options and 15–45 Mbps bitrate negotiation are unchanged from v1.0.1.

System Requirements

  • Linux x86_64 (GLIBC 2.39+ recommended) or Windows x64.
  • Wayland or X11 desktop environment (GNOME Shell, KDE Plasma, etc.).
  • A standard Xbox or PlayStation controller for gamepad menu navigation.

XJAUS v1.0.1 - OS Language Auto-Detection

@perjesus111-hub perjesus111-hub released this 20 Oct 04:40

XJAUS v1.0.1 — OS Language Auto-Detection

What's Fixed

The app now follows your operating system's language from the very first launch. Previously the UI could show up in Spanish even on English-configured systems.

Highlights

  • First launch now respects the OS language (English systems start in English; Spanish systems start in Spanish).
  • Manual language selection still wins on later launches if you set it in Settings.
  • No forced locale fallback anywhere: Chromium auto-detects unless the environment explicitly declares Spanish.
  • VA-API hardware acceleration flags, up to 1440p profiles, HEVC/H.264 codec options and 15–45 Mbps bitrate negotiation are unchanged from v1.0.0.

System Requirements

  • Linux x86_64 (GLIBC 2.39+ recommended).
  • Wayland or X11 desktop environment (GNOME Shell, KDE Plasma, etc.).
