May I suggest those ENDPOINTS be documented in the HTTP API section.
I got to know them trying to figure out how the UI is operating when there is a Drag&Drop to upload files.

Can someone explain what is the use of this request ?

I get it it is sent in the HEADER response the correct information.

Please use the mailing list for questions rather than re-purposing this bug, which was pretty explicit about what is required to close it.

That is, we use bugs for actionable things, and generally use the mailing list for questions. At least, that's been our policy so far.
