ClaudeThing.ai 1.1 turns Spotify Car Thing into a more dependable, unattended desk dashboard—and this is the first release with a verified, ready-to-flash production firmware archive.

What’s new

  • Automatic Claude OAuth refresh with retained last-valid quota data and rate-limit-aware polling.
  • More resilient USB snapshot delivery and tunnel recovery after sleep, reconnects, and unreliable hub behavior.
  • An authenticated Bluetooth fallback that stands by while USB is healthy and resumes bounded snapshot delivery when USB data is unavailable.
  • Visible USB/Bluetooth transport state and an honest animated reconnecting status with exact last-observation times.
  • All three available Claude limits in the split overview, clearer Codex account facts, and larger usage/reset typography throughout the 800×480 interface.
  • Cleaner boot presentation and refreshed documentation screenshots matching the shipped UI.

Install

The easiest route is to point your coding agent at this repository and ask:

Install ClaudeThing.ai 1.1 on my USB-connected Spotify Car Thing. Follow INSTALL.md, preserve a complete factory backup, verify the downloaded firmware against SHA256SUMS.txt, and stop before flashing until I approve the exact artifact and checksum.

For the manual path, follow the installation and recovery guide.

Firmware installation replaces the device software. Make a complete factory backup first, keep the device on reliable power, and use the production FlashThing-compatible ZIP only with a supported Spotify Car Thing. Pairing material and provider credentials are provisioned locally after installation; they are not present in the firmware image.

Downloads

  • ClaudeThing-1.1.0-superbird-production-flashthing.zip — production firmware for Spotify Car Thing.
  • SHA256SUMS.txt — integrity hashes for every downloadable release artifact.
  • ClaudeThing-1.1.0-firmware-licenses.tar.gz — generated license texts and manifests for the assembled Linux image.
  • ClaudeThing-1.1.0-build-metadata.tar.gz — exact package inventory, build inputs, source revision, image metadata, and third-party notices.

This firmware was built from public source commit 70f91f7 after the complete repository verification suite and a 5,883-task production image build completed successfully.

License and independence

ClaudeThing-authored source is available under the MIT License. The assembled Linux firmware also contains upstream components under their own licenses; consult the attached generated license archive for the authoritative inventory.

Install

Start with the installation guide, or point your coding agent at this repository and ask it to install ClaudeThing.ai for your connected device.

This release contains the complete firmware and application source. A prebuilt firmware image is not attached; build and hardware-specific flashing remain explicit local steps so the exact artifact can be verified for the target device.
