@peter-mdf peter-mdf released this 13 Jul 17:13

Bug fixes

  • Smoother setup — the first data fetch now runs during setup, so all entities load reliably on a fresh start.

Other improvements

  • Added an examples folder with a prize-notification automation and a dashboard card.

1.3.0

@peter-mdf peter-mdf released this 02 Jul 17:44

What's new

  • Now in the default HACS store — install it by searching for Postcodeloterij in HACS directly, no custom repository needed.
  • Translated entity names and icons — entities now use Home Assistant's entity-naming with translated friendly names and proper icons. Existing entity ids are preserved.
  • New diagnostic sensor — a "Last successful update" timestamp so you can alert on a silently stale integration (the prize sensors only change when a result changes).

1.2.3

@peter-mdf peter-mdf released this 24 Jun 19:36

What's new

  • MIT LICENSE added — the integration now ships an explicit MIT license file, making it HACS-compliant.
  • Project housekeeping — GitHub issue templates and a README table of contents. No code impact.

1.2.2

@peter-mdf peter-mdf released this 16 Jun 21:49

What's new

  • Translated unit label — the sensor now shows "prijzen" in Dutch Home Assistant and "prizes" in English, instead of the previously hard-coded English label everywhere. No action needed; the change is automatic based on your HA language.

1.2.1

@peter-mdf peter-mdf released this 16 Jun 17:58

What's new

  • Diagnostics download — head to Settings → Devices & Services → Postcodeloterij → ⋮ → Download diagnostics to grab a JSON dump for bug reports.
  • Correct unavailable state — when the Postcodeloterij API can't be reached, the sensor now shows as unavailable instead of falsely reporting 0 prizes, so automations can tell the difference between "no prizes won" and "no data".

Heads-up

  • Minimum Home Assistant version is now 2024.7.0. Older HA instances won't load this version of the integration.

1.2.0

@peter-mdf peter-mdf released this 25 May 12:08

What's new

  • Long-term statistics — the prize count sensor now has SensorStateClass.MEASUREMENT so Home Assistant tracks its long-term statistics properly.
  • Updated User-Agent — bumped to Chrome 136 to keep API requests working.
  • Acknowledgement — credited kvanhoorn for the original work this integration is based on.

1.1.0

@peter-mdf peter-mdf released this 17 May 20:47

What's new

  • Rich prize attributes — the prize sensor now exposes three new attributes:
    • prize_description — plain-text description of the prize, extracted from the Postcodeloterij website.
    • prize_more_info_url — link to the prize detail page on the Postcodeloterij FAQ.
    • prize_img_url — image of the prize, useful for rich push notifications.

Example automation

Use the new attributes in a notification:

action: notify.all_devices
data:
  title: "Postcodeloterij uitslag"
  message: "{{ state_attr('sensor.postcodeloterij_1234ab', 'prize_description') }}"
  data:
    clickAction: "{{ state_attr('sensor.postcodeloterij_1234ab', 'prize_more_info_url') }}"
    image: "{{ state_attr('sensor.postcodeloterij_1234ab', 'prize_img_url') }}"
    ttl: 0
    priority: high
