Updates the supplied default oomycete ITS1 database with additional genus level NCBI references as of Jan 2026.

Metadata matching via -x can now be done with or without a recognized FASTQ suffix, allowing this to be used with ENA metadata tables with FTP URLs.

Minor code cleanups.
