SyLC MVC Player 0.20.0-alpha.5
Pre-releaseExperimental pre-release. This build is intended for testing and may still fail with unusual Blu-ray authoring, remuxes, or playlist obfuscation.

Requirements:
- Android 8.0 or newer
- ARM64 (
arm64-v8a) device - OpenGL ES 3.0
Because the APK is distributed outside Google Play, Android may ask you to allow installation from your browser or file manager.
Fixed in alpha.5
Alpha.5 improves Blu-ray feature selection for ISOs containing misleading or malformed playlists.
- Detects replay-loop playlists whose reported duration is inflated by repeating identical
(clip ID, IN time, OUT time)PlayItems. - Prefers genuine playable AVC/MVC feature playlists with audio over replay-loop decoys.
- Keeps a decoy playlist only as an emergency fallback when no plausible feature is available.
- Adds candidate diagnostics for:
- total PlayItems
- unique and repeated PlayItems
- unique-content duration
- replay ratio
- decoy classification
This addresses the case where a remuxed Guardians of the Galaxy 3D ISO exposed a playlist of about 5 hours 50 minutes by repeatedly referencing the same clip range.
Preserved from alpha.4
- The physical CLPI/PES timeline fallback remains available for malformed single-title, single-clip ISOs whose MPLS duration is severely truncated.
- This addresses the Disney's A Christmas Carol 3D ISO that reported only 2:33 even though the physical movie stream is approximately 1:35:48.
- The corrected physical timeline is used consistently for displayed duration, seek range, audio, and video.
Other important fixes retained
- Preserves the AVC/MVC deblocking mode signaled by the bitstream.
- Prevents dependent-view MVC decoding from reusing and overwriting the same-time base-picture DPB slot.
- Retains direct local and SMB playback for supported MVC MKV and Blu-ray ISO sources.
Important limitations
- This remains an experimental alpha.
- Unusual remuxes, seamless branching, playlist obfuscation, and malformed disc structures may still fail.
- ARM64 only.
- No Blu-ray menus or BD-J.
- No disc decryption.
- Some multichannel tracks may sound too loud or clipped; this is still under investigation.
- Playback compatibility depends on the Android device and GPU.
Reporting problems
When reporting a problem, please include:
- The saved diagnostic report from the app.
- The exact playback or seek timestamp.
- Screenshots for visual corruption.
- Whether the source was local or SMB.
- Whether the same source works in another player.
