4idesk v1.1.0-beta — the core

A desk that had no core got one. Five parts, each owning one fact, and the
rules each of them earned from a failure: docs/ARCHITECTURE.md.

What changed for anyone using it:

  • A programme key cuts on the press. It used to wait while ffmpeg processes
were launched on the main thread.
  • Pictures come from the Mac, one decoded lens per camera, so a camera appears
on the wall as soon as it starts. Programme and preview are decoded whole.
  • A camera that has not come up completely is not on the buses. Three of four
streams is a fault, and it belongs in the rig check.
  • Opening one window no longer blacks out another: every camera has its own
sink, and a tile draws its own camera rather than the programme monitor.
  • CPU and GPU meters on the status bar.
  • Colour: ALL as the first key of the camera strip, every camera as its own
card with a tally, lens keys, and the lever and centre-point pad enlarged.

Under it: the Annex-B splitter is its own tested part, the decode plan is a
pure function, and the fleet and reader policies are functions with the
evening's failures as their tests. orahctl selftest — 65 checks.
