Bug Fixes

  • Use canonicalize() for reliable absolute paths on all platforms (macOS, Windows, Linux)

The previous approach of joining with cwd and normalizing didn't work on macOS/Windows where ripgrep returns relative paths with ../../../ components even when given an absolute search path.

canonicalize() properly resolves:

  • Symlinks (e.g., macOS /var -> /private/var)
  • Parent directory references (..)
  • Platform-specific path quirks (Windows UNC paths)
