🚀 phpBB Migration Center v0.1.0 Beta 2

We are pleased to announce the second public Beta release of phpBB Migration Center (v0.1.0-beta.2) for phpBB 3.3+.

Warning

Beta Testing Release:
This release is intended strictly for community testing on backed-up staging environments. Users must not run this Beta directly against an unbacked live production forum.

📦 What's in this Beta Release

  • 🧩 Modular Migration Framework: Decoupled migration core separated from platform-specific connector logic.
  • 🔌 Current Connector: XenForo connector is currently in Beta and actively tested (supports XenForo 2.x and 1.5.x schemas). Connectors for vBulletin, MyBB, SMF, and Invision Community are planned.
  • 🖥️ Dual Execution Workers: Includes both a Browser-based AJAX Worker with live progress tracking and a daemonized CLI Worker for timeout-free background migrations.
  • 🧪 Test & CI Integrity:
    • 11 CI-Safe Automated Suites passed across PHP 7.4, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3 via GitHub Actions.
    • 39 Local Integration Suites and a comprehensive XenForo test dataset (100 users, 38 forums, 538 topics, 7,822 posts, attachments, conversations, polls, and bans) independently audited with 100% data reconciliation.
  • 🔐 Universal Password Support: Transparent upgrade of supported hashes on first login.
  • 🛡️ Read-Only Invariant: 100% read-only operations on the source database.
