Release Notes v1.0.0

Initial official release of phpBB Post Comments, a modern, nested AJAX comment engine for phpBB 3.3.x.

🌟 Key Highlights

  • vBulletin 6 Nested Style: Clean sub-panel card design (#f8fafc background, #e2e8f0 border, #0284c7 indicator bar, and 36px circular avatars).
  • Pure AJAX Engine: Fast, asynchronous comment posting, inline editing, deletion, and paginated loading ("View earlier comments") without full page reloads.
  • Single-Click Instant Submit: Resolved blur/focus layout shift for seamless 1-click submission.
  • Smart Toggle & Auto-Close: Click "+ Add Comment" to smoothly expand, toggle closed, or cancel. Auto-closes cleanly after comment submission.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts: Press Ctrl + Enter (or Cmd + Enter on macOS) to instantly submit comments or save inline edits.
  • Live Character Counter: Dynamic character counter with visual warning indicator.
  • Native Notifications: Sends real-time on-site notifications to post authors.
  • Full RTL Support: Native right-to-left layout for Persian, Arabic, and Hebrew with flipped indicators and directional icon flipping.
  • Mobile & Touch Ergonomics: Ergonomic touch targets and fluid responsive layout on screens $\le 500\text{px}$.
  • Comprehensive ACP & Permissions: Complete forum enablement control, sort ordering, character limits, BBCode/Smilies toggle, and granular user/moderator permissions.
  • 100% Localizable: Zero hardcoded strings. Every phrase is isolated in language files.
