I just encountered this exact issue.

In my case, the @phpstan-ignore function.alreadyNarrowedType directive suppresses the error in phpstan version 2.1.55, but the suppression fails in the current version, 2.2.7. So this appears to be a relatively recent regression?

@staabm Before opening and issue for my problem, I first looked through the open issues, found this one, and the code sample provided above by @ghbob exactly mirrored the pattern I was going to report, so I didn't feel it was necessary to provide a 2nd sample.

My code is in a Laravel app, and the static method in the trait class is checking to ensure the class the uses it is an Eloquent Model:

if (! is_subclass_of(static::class, \Illuminate\Database\Eloquent\Model::class)) {
    throw ...
}

but that's exactly the same pattern as already reported. Isn't it?
