• "Update available" opens a page that just gives you the download. It used to open the GitHub release, which lists ten files — installers for three platforms, their checksums, and the VS Code extension — with nothing saying which one is yours. Now it detects your platform, offers one button, and shows how to get past the first-launch warning.
