@phyous phyous released this 16 Sep 06:40

Jev completed Strongarm, the first combat mission in the original 1998 StarCraft shareware campaign. The retained original Victory dialog was visually checked, and the evidence verifier confirms the committed engine outcome and all 421 model decisions.

The winning run used jev-1.13.0 and source commit d055e375ae131308fc38d617f63f8eff9c83edb6. The model received owned/visible structured game state and selected commands executed through ordinary mouse and keyboard input. The game paused for observations and inference. Separate Economy and Army decisions kept production and tactics moving.

  • Short video: continuous 8× playback, 2:15, with actual action-probability distributions and the original Victory screen.
  • Full video: continuous 1× playback, 17:41 including the final hold.
  • Evidence bundle: original game frames, actual requests/responses, mouse/keyboard receipts, trace, manifest, result and verification report. No game executable or data bundle is included.
  • Victory image, environment, visual review and SHA256SUMS accompany the recordings.

Recorded wall time: 17:37.88. There were 424 API attempts, including three rejected responses, and 9,445,640 accounted input tokens. Median API latency was 382.95 ms. Probabilities describe action choices; they are not estimates of winning.

This was development attempt 16 after harness fixes and strategy iterations; earlier attempts included interruptions and runtime faults. It is one verified successful mission, not a measured win rate.

After extracting the evidence alongside the checkout, verify it with:

python -m tsai_sc.verify strongarm-16
shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS

Inspired by TypeSafe’s Doom demonstration. Runtime: BottleShip. StarCraft belongs to Blizzard Entertainment.
