v0.13.2: auto-register kodex MCP server for codex CLI

@physwkim physwkim released this 02 May 10:54

kodex install codex now registers the MCP server automatically. Previously the codex platform fell through to the generic "MCP: not supported for this platform (manual setup needed)" message — only the skill file and git hooks were wired, and users had to hand-edit ~/.codex/config.toml.

Changes

  • New install_mcp_codex / uninstall_mcp_codex in src/install.rs. Appends a [mcp_servers.kodex] block to ~/.codex/config.toml; preserves any existing [projects."..."] (or other) sections by treating the file as plain text and writing at EOF.
  • Idempotent: re-running kodex install codex reports already registered instead of duplicating the section. kodex uninstall codex removes only the [mcp_servers.kodex] block, leaving unrelated sections intact.
  • No new TOML-parser dependency. Each [...] header opens a fresh table context, so an EOF append is always valid TOML regardless of what came before it.

Upgrade

cargo install --path .
kodex install codex

The install command is idempotent against pre-existing manual [mcp_servers.kodex] entries — it detects them and reports already registered.
