The release install/upgrade scripts no longer abort with a false "tampered binary" error on OpenSSL 1.1.1 hosts (EL8/CloudLinux 8) once releases are signed. Signature verification runs on OpenSSL 3.0+, is skipped with a warning where the platform cannot perform it (the SHA-256 checksum is still enforced), and only fails the upgrade on a genuine signature mismatch.
Release script signature checks no longer misclassify capable OpenSSL hosts as too old, so signed binaries are still verified before install or upgrade.
