Pinup 1.0.0

The first stable public release of Pinup for Obsidian.

Highlights

  • Pin files and folders above their unpinned siblings without changing their folder hierarchy.
  • Add items to a compact pin-up shelf while leaving their original File Explorer entries in place.
  • Preserve deterministic pin ordering across restarts.
  • Use desktop context menus and saved-pin controls, with Command-click on macOS or Control-click on Windows/Linux to switch a normal pin to pin-up.
  • Preserve native one-tap navigation on mobile; pin and pin up through long-press menus.
  • Remove shelf items directly through their desktop or mobile context menu.
  • Prefer Nicons' Phosphor push-pin when available, with an isolated native Lucide fallback.

Pinup makes no network requests, includes no telemetry, and does not modify notes, frontmatter, filenames, or folders.

Installation

Download main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css below and place them in <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/pinup/, or install this release with BRAT.

Requires Obsidian 1.4.16 or newer.
