v1.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@sizzlebop sizzlebop released this 20 Oct 21:57

Open the Claw$h you already have running on your phone, over Tailscale.

Phone access

  • ctrl+b W starts a server inside the running Claw$h. The phone attaches to the same session, the same tabs and the same Claude processes.
  • Tailscale only: the server listens on 127.0.0.1 behind tailscale serve, and the phone gets an HTTPS address on your *.ts.net name.
  • Pair once with a QR code or a short typed code (that's how home-screen web apps pair). Codes last 5 minutes and work once. Watch-only pairings can see but not type.
  • Remove paired phones from the menu at any time. Only a hash of each token is stored.
  • Compose mode keeps autocorrect and dictation working. Keys mode sends each key straight through for menus and ctrl+b.
  • Turns itself off after 15 minutes with no phone connected. Reconnects on its own after iOS backgrounds the app.
  • Tested on iPhone (Safari and home-screen app). Android isn't tested yet.

Tab bar

  • A ☰ button opens the sidebar over the pane when it's hidden.
  • Tabs that don't fit shrink to their number and status instead of disappearing, and the bar scrolls when even that's too wide.

Fixes

  • Opening a menu while a phone was connected no longer crashes Claw$h.

Install

Linux x86_64 and aarch64 binaries are attached below (built on Ubuntu 22.04, glibc 2.35+).

cargo binstall clawsh-tui

Full Changelog: v1.2.1...v1.3.0

v1.2.1

Choose a tag to compare

@sizzlebop sizzlebop released this 20 Oct 18:38

Running out of memory no longer takes down every tab at once.

Fixes

  • Each tab and terminal drawer now starts in its own systemd scope (clawsh-<pid>-<tab>.scope). When systemd-oomd kills something under memory pressure, it kills only the tab that ran away instead of the whole terminal window with every workspace in it.
  • Tabs start directly like before when systemd-run or a user systemd session isn't available, or with CLAWSH_SCOPES=off.

Upgrading

Restart Claw$h after upgrading. Tabs that are already open move into scopes the next time they start.

Install

Linux x86_64 and aarch64 binaries are attached below (built on Ubuntu 22.04, glibc 2.35+).

cargo binstall clawsh-tui

Claw$h 1.2.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 18:19

A command palette, a radar of every tab, conversation search, git worktrees, and a file picker.

Getting around

  • ctrl+b space: command palette with commands, tabs, workspaces, snippets, and templates
  • ctrl+b v: radar of every tab in every workspace, whatever needs you first. r opens the last turn's review
  • ctrl+b /: search every saved Claude conversation and resume one

Git worktrees

  • ctrl+b g opens a worktree as a workspace or makes one on a new branch next to the repo
  • The sidebar shows each workspace's branch, with ⎇ for linked worktrees
  • ctrl+x removes a worktree's folder, never the main checkout or an open one, and the branch stays

File picker

  • ctrl+b f fuzzy searches the workspace's files and pastes an @path mention into Claude's input

Fixes

  • Quitting Claude no longer closes the workspace when it was the last tab

Install

Linux x86_64 and aarch64 binaries are attached below (built on Ubuntu 22.04, glibc 2.35+).

cargo binstall clawsh-tui

Known issues

  • Adding a worktree in a big repo freezes the UI until the checkout finishes
  • Kitty images don't show inside the terminal drawer

Claw$h 1.1.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 15:02

Right-click menus and a terminal drawer for every tab.

Menus

  • Right-click a tab or workspace for New tab, Rename, and Close (plus the tab's terminal)
  • Closing from a menu asks first, starting on Cancel
  • The ≡ Claw$h footer button or ctrl+b o opens a main menu; each item shows its ctrl+b key
  • Workspaces can be renamed (display name only, saved with the session)

Terminal drawer

  • ctrl+b e or the >_ tab bar button opens a shell in the workspace folder, below Claude by default
  • Hiding it keeps the shell running, so your dev server keeps going
  • ctrl+b ; or a click moves the keyboard between Claude and the shell
  • Drag the divider to resize, or move drawers to the right from the main menu

Install

Linux x86_64 and aarch64 binaries are attached below (built on Ubuntu 22.04, glibc 2.35+).

cargo binstall clawsh-tui

Known issues

  • Kitty images don't show inside the terminal drawer
  • ctrl+b x closes the whole tab without asking, even from the drawer

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 13:10

First public release of Claw$h, a ratatui terminal workspace for Claude Code.

Each tab runs a real claude process, and Claw$h wraps them in folder workspaces with a sidebar, a tab bar, live status, and your 5-hour and weekly usage limits.

Highlights

  • Folder workspaces with any number of Claude tabs, behind a ctrl+b prefix
  • Per-tab status (working, waiting on you, done, failed) from Claude Code hooks, plus desktop notifications
  • Claude 5-hour and weekly limits in the sidebar
  • Sessions restore on the next launch with claude --resume
  • Review view for uncommitted changes or the last turn, with comments you can send to Claude
  • Workspace templates and prompt snippets
  • Kitty graphics from Claude mods in kitty and Ghostty, copy mode, OSC 52 clipboard, light and dark palettes

Install

Linux x86_64 and aarch64 binaries are attached below (built on Ubuntu 22.04, glibc 2.35+).

cargo binstall clawsh-tui

Or grab a tarball, check the .sha256, and put clawsh on your PATH. Building from source with cargo install clawsh-tui needs Zig 0.15.x; see the README.

Known issues

  • Linux only for now
  • Images need kitty or Ghostty
